Polaris just released info about its 2017 Slingshot three-wheeler, which gains a new SLR trim level as well as more accessories, colors, and upgrades.
"Slingshot's new 2017 line-up takes the vehicle to the next level,” said President of Polaris Motorcycles Steve Menneto. “With the new SLR, premium upgrades on the SL, and 31 new accessories... we are giving our customers more ways to personalize their experience and make Slingshot their own."

The new SLR top-trim level can be differentiated through a two-tone paint scheme available in Orange Madness or Turbo Silver. The model is also fitted with lightweight forged aluminum rims, a wider rear tire as well as Sparco gear (shift knob, steering wheel and pedal covers).

More features on the Slingshot SLR include an interior LED lighting kit, composite brake discs, 18-inch rims in front, 20-inch rim at the back and an open air intake. As with the regular model, the SLR is built on a high-strength steel spaceframe and gets powered by the same 2.4-liter inline-four that sends the power to the rear wheel via a 5-speed manual transmission. Power-assisted steering, electronic stability control and ABS are offered as standard on all models.

The standard SL model got updated too, getting two new colors (Sunset Red and Black Pearl), a clear Ripper Series wind deflector, new hood graphics, cut-and-sew seats and a premium Rockford Fosgate audio system.

Moving to the optional list, here you’ll be able to tick the box for the new Slingshade, a styled roof with T-top panels and tinted windows. Other accessories include more audio components, wind deflectors, riding gear, helmets, and storage options.

The MSRP for the 2017 Slingshot is set at $21,999 while the SLR is offered at $25,499.

Across the pond, European customers will gain access to the same upgrades, although the luxury trim level is called Limited Edition instead of SLR. The SL gains two new colors (Pearl Red and Turbo Silver) while the Limited Edition is available in Black Pearl and White Pearl with Indy Red powder coated frame, swing arm, springs and front suspension.
