People that aren’t sure about the ugliness of the BMW X4, Mercedes-Benz has a solution for you. The alternative is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, a.k.a. the gaudier and less practical bro of the GLC.
Gaudy it may be, but you know what? Mercedes-Benz will sell the GLC Coupe faster than it can make it. Style over substance dictates modern life and, to be frank, a little vanity isn’t such a bad idea. So, how much does it cost to join the GLC Coupe club? In the United Kingdom, that’ll be £40,580, thank you! By comparison, the garden variety GLC starts at £34,950.

In Germany, the domestic market of the GLC and GLC Coupe, the compact luxury crossover SUVs go for €44,506 and €49,444, respectively. The model range for the coupe-ified model starts with the 220 d 4Matic, also known as that turbo diesel Mercedes-Benz manufactures since forever. The 2.1-liter oil-burning mill returns up to 56.5 imperial mpg (5 liters per 100 kilometers) combined, which is not bad at all.

If, however, you want more than 170 horsepower, you’d better go for the 250 d 4Matic and its 204 horsepower engine. Both variants of the 2.1-liter turbo diesel are matched to a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission as standard. Those who would rather gasoline instead of diesel, the GLC 250 4Matic Coupe is your only option at the present moment. Pricing for the GLC 200 d Coupe, GLC 350 d 4Matic Coupe, GLC 300 4Matic Coupe, GLC 350 e 4Matic Coupe, and GLC 43 4Matic Coupe will be announced later on.

In terms of model lines, customers have two to choose from: Sport or AMG Line. The Sport boasts 18-inch alloy wheels, black ash wood interior trim, as well as Artico upholstery in black or beige, Garmin Map Pilot satellite navigation, Active Park Assist, reversing camera, LED headlights, heated front seats, and an electrically operated tailgate. The AMG Line ups the ante with 19-inch alloys, flat bottom steering wheel, sports pedals that are dressed in brushed steel, an AMG body kit, and a diamond grille with chrome pins.
