One of the cars you wouldn't necessarily expect to see dropping spicy test laps on the Nurburgring is the 2017 Lexus LC and yet the Japanese automaker has been giving the Nordschleife marshals goosebumps thanks to the V8 rumble of the LC500.
The Lex has shown up at the Ring earlier this week, with the machine flying from one vibrator to another, as you can see in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

Since the LC500 is one of the last natural aspiration bastions of the Grand Tourer realm, it's 5.0-liter V8 delivers an awesome soundtrack, especially if we take into account the fact that the coziness focus of the vehicle means the exhaust can't simply let the engine scream out at the top of its lungs cylinders.

Shared with other range-topping Lexus models such as the RC F, the V8 delivers 460 hp and a peak torque of 389 lb-ft when found under the hood of this big, lavish coupe.

As for the Green Hell presence of the car, don't expect the Lexus to set a record anytime soon. Instead, the engineers are completing the final tweaking, as the LC will hit the market in 2017.

However, with the Japanese automaker's newfound track determination, we expect the LC to display impressive handling.

Truth be told, Lexus has stunned us all with the track efforts made over the past couple of years. Heck, we need to look no further back than September to understand that.

We'll remind you that, last month, the RC F GT racecar concept managed to top Car and Driver's Lighting Lap 2016. Sure, we're talking about a track-confined machine, but the thing almost managed to tie the Porsche 918 Spyder's lap time on Virginia International Raceway, so, since we dropped this reminder, we'll give it one more round of applause.
