The American brand had decided to reveal the all-new Compass when it started production at its latest facility. Jeep has opened an assembly plant in Goiana, Pernambuco, Brazil.

With that announcement, the carmaker considered it can shed light on its new facility that has begun producing cars by publishing a few photos of the all-new Compass.

We already know that the Compass will be a global model, and that it will have the same design across the globe. Jeep has also revealed that it will be available with 17 powertrain options, which mean 17 combinations between the engine, transmission, and traction solution (four-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive, for example).

The American brand says that the Compass will be the best in its class concerning off-road capability, but it will also have fuel-efficient powertrains.

Jeep also stated that the car would provide open-air freedom, so we expect it to have a large sunroof available as an option, just like you can find in the Renegade offering.

Since this car was developed for the 2017 model year, Jeep also included a ghost of technology and safety elements to keep things up to date.

It is important not to confuse this announcement and the few photos that accompany it as the unveiling of the Jeep Compass. The American brand will reveal the all-new model at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, which is held in November.

Consumers in the United States of America will be able to buy the new Compass starting the first quarter of 2017. The European market will also get the SUV shortly after, and so will China, and many other regions.

A quick look at the photo gallery shows us that the prototypes and other development versions of the Compass that we wrote about were the real deal, and that the all-new compact SUV from Jeep blends elements from the Grand Cherokee with lines from other models of the FCA Group.
