After revealing a camouflaged version of the upcoming XF Sportbrake wagon at this year’s Paris Motor Show, Jaguar officials have announced that the car will be a global model.
In other words, Jaguar’s upcoming XF Sportbrake Wagon will also be available in the USA. The news comes straight from Joe Eberhardt, the President and CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America, who confirmed the information for the journalists at Motor Trend.

Unlike other competitor models, the XF Sportbrake is a dedicated wagon, which shares the architecture and engine range with the sedan that has lent its name and features.

Mr. Eberhardt also stated that the XF Sportbrake would be revealed in 2017 at an auto show. Unfortunately, the event that will host the new wagon from Jaguar has not been disclosed, but we suppose it might be showcased at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Its European presentation could take place at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.

After all, the introduction of this model on the American market should be marked with a world premiere presentation at an event held in North America, and Detroit should be a good opportunity for this.

Jaguar Land Rover is also considering the introduction of electric models in its portfolio, but the group owned by the Indians at Tata Motors still have no official announcements on the topic.

At the same time, the British brand will continue to sell diesels in the USA, in spite of the Volkswagen emissions scandal that has increased scrutiny over this type of engine.

Jaguar is the fastest-growing brand in its segment thanks to a repositioning that has brought a different pricing strategy. The shift was introduced with the XE and F-Pace models, which were expected by many, but other models from the company have received price cuts for increased competitiveness.

The same Jaguar Land Rover representative said that the XE, which is Jaguar’s BMW 3 Series competitor, is not selling as good as it should, but the company has a solution for that.

Jaguar plans to reallocate production from other cars and other markets to send more F-Type SUVs to the USA, while the XE will get more units in the countries that have recorded better sales results.
