We recently showed you a pair of 2017 Ford GT prototype playing the high-altitude testing game over in Colorado. Despite Ford having already showed the production-trim GT, the prototypes in question maintain the early testing appearance, which makes them look like army-spec supercars.
Well, that's something that deserves an extra look and we're here to give you just that. As you'll be able to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page (lens tip to TFL Car), one of the prototypes has been spotted driving casually around Colorado, as if it was a normal car.

This time around, we also get to talk about the driver of the spotted GT prototype wearing headphones, which are probably there to ensure the overly loud voice of the work-in-progress machine doesn't go too far.

Speaking of which, since the guy behind the wheel refrained from dipping into the throttle of the tester, we don't want you to be left wishing for an aural sample of the twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost occupying the middle section of the supercar. As a result, we'll remind you this year's Pebble Beach hostilities saw the automaker gifting us with the presence of a '66 Heritage Edition - check out the story in case you missed it, as it also involved the supercar clearing its throat on the... green grass carpet.

What's the next step in Ford's teasing process?

Truth be told, the Blue Oval has made a great job using the development of the upcoming supercar to promote the brand altogether. After all the reveal episodes, the next step should see Ford sending new info to the lucky 500 owners who will grab the first two years of production, letting them know when they can take delivery of their $400,000 beasts. And we'll return with the info as soon as we get our keyboards on it.
