2017 Ford GT Revs Hard in London as It Climbs into Delivery Truck

Remember when the Blue Oval’s European arm displayed the 2017 Ford GT in London, but kept the experience silent, explaining they weren’t allowed to rev the supercar? Well, they did.

The adventure we’re talking about took place late last month, with the 2017 Ford GT being parked in Central London with its badges covered. Passers-by were asked to identify the car, with their answers varying from “Brabus” to “Ferrari”. The Prancing Horse mention was delicious - we’ll remind you the original Ford GT 40 gained its glory after humiliating Ferrari at Le Mans. Still, we didn’t get to hear that EcoBoost V6 in action.

Somebody asked Ford on their Youtube channel about the silence coming from the twin-turbo heart at the center of the car, with the company replying as stated above.

Well, Ford had to take the supercar away once their experiment was done. A delivery truck came to pick it up and that was the moment when they fired up the engine and loaded the supercar into the lorry.

Given the location, it was impossible for the feat to remain unrecorded, so here we are, giving you the video. We can clearly hear the voice of the EcoBoost engine, with the revving being doubled by sweet boost release moments.

As for the smoke, which is present is larger quantities than expected, this shouldn’t bother you. We are, after all, talking about a prototype here, so there's a long way to the production version that's set to arrive next year.

This is not the first time when we are treated with the 2017 Ford GT soundtrack, but to get an idea of just how thirsty people are when it comes to this, we’ll remind you of what happen at Gamescom last week. Ford asked gamers to make GT engine sounds, with the feature resulting in one hilarious episode.
