It's official ladies and gentlemen drivers, the Dodge Viper has returned to the Nurburgring, aiming to prove its sub-7m might to the world.
The Viper crew is just warming up and those of us keeping an eye on this V10 matter were surprised to see another kind of velocity monster lapping the Nordschleife while we were waiting for the slab of America to show up.

We're talking about the Bugatti Chiron - while the first piece of footage below shows you a Viper flying on the Green Hell, the second video allows you to check out Molsheim's 1,500 hp machine doing the same thing.

Truth be told, we're not really sure why Bugatti has brought its beast to the infamous German track, though.

Returning to the Viper, last time we talked about the former Dodge halo car jumping from one rumble-strip to the other, we saw the GTS-R lapping the Ring in 7:03.4.

That feat was achieved almost one month ago, with Dominik Farnbacher, the pro driver behind the wheel, explaining that there's more performance to be extracted.

The enthusiasts behind the efforts went back to their crowdfunding and sponsor-seeking campaign, raised some extra funds and are now ready to show what the Viper is really capable of.

Meanwhile, the final example of the Gen V Dodge Viper has rolled off the production line (here's a photo of the sad moment), with rumors talking about the automaker planning a successor.

We'll remind you that the GTS-R is a special edition that can be regarded as an ACR-E (Extreme Aero Package), with this machine sporting Kumho Ecsta V720 rubber (295/25 up front and 355/30 at the back).

And while we're waiting for the fresh lap time to arrive, here's a reminder of the one-hand adventure that was the 7:03.4 lap. Heck, all this one-hand madness might just be a unofficial record...
