Well known as a masterfully skilled driver and an avid car collector, Steve McQueen was renowned for driving hard, taking great care of his rides, and filling up garages with everything from classic Minis to a hulking GMC pickup truck. But, of course, he went down in popular culture for his Mustang connection – while in the hearts of connoisseurs he also holds a special place for crazy beautiful cars such as his famous 1963 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso.
According to The Official Ferrari Magazine, the actor came in possession of the 1963 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso as a present from his wife at the time, Neile Adams. It was one of the four Prancing Horses he came to own, alongside a 275 GTS, a 275 GTB/4 alloy coupé delivered to him on the set of Bullitt in San Francisco, and a NART Spider.

Ferrari even took inspiration from the 1963 250 GT back in 2016 for a California T with a stylish brown exterior and elegant camel leather interior as part of its own 70th anniversary celebrations. But they’re not the only ones who took notice of the Hollywood star’s connection to the serenely beautiful 250.

And because the “King of Cool” is a stars and stripes (anti)hero true-and-true, why not use the same inspiration for a decidedly American sports car?! Case in point, the unexpectedly stunning combination of metallic brown and beige works (again) like a charm on the last front-engine Corvette, the C7.

On this special occasion, Marrone Metalic is the name of the paintjob covering the body, while the interior has been masterfully crafted in a brown stone and linen combination. And we’re not talking here about OEM work, because this 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been created through the Tailor-Made Program by Caravaggio Corvettes Inc.

We have found it dwelling in Ontario, Canada and it’s offered on sale through a Hemmings listing at $115 Canadian (which is around $87,455 at the current exchange rates). While the price might initially look steep for one of America’s best car representative, we need to put everything in balance.

It’s not just a custom-built order from Caravaggio – featuring a stunningly elegant exterior and a high-quality interior one would expect from anything but a U.S.-made automobile. The C7 Corvette is also a low-mileage car (2,200 listed in the ad) equipped with all the goodies – both the stick shifter and the Z07 option pack.
