First, let’s start with the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. In Germany, the most important new car market in the European Union, €39,900 will buy you an unmistakable body shell, an automatic transmission and a turbocharged four-cylinder with 275 horsepower on tap. At the other end of the spectrum, the Camaro SS with its 6.2-liter LT1 V8 will set you back €50,900. Not bad at all for a 455 horsepower hooligan.

Regarding the Corvette, the lineup starts with the 2017 model year of the Stingray. Compared to the 2016 model year, the present-day model boasts four new colors (Admiral Blue, Sterling Blue, Watkins Glen Gray, Black Rose). The LT1 V8 churns out 455 horsepower with the standard exhaust system or 460 horsepower with the available performance exhaust. Pricing? €79,500 including the value added tax, thank you!

Next up, the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport. The Grand Sport is just that bit sportier, combining the drivability of the Stingray with the out-and-out performance of the Z06. With deliveries slated to start in January, the cheapest Grand Sport you can but in the Old Continent costs €94,900 in Germany. That’s just about €10,000 more than a Mercedes-AMG C63 in S form, the most badass C-Class money can buy.

And finally, the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. A mind-boggling €116,500 will buy you an aerodynamically-focused body shell that focuses on downforce, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber trim here and there, fat and sticky rubber on all four corners, and a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 that produces 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque sent to the rear wheels. It’s a lot of money, that’s for sure, but then again, the Corvette Z06 is a supercar killer that also happens to handle like a world-beating sports car.
