For the 2017 model year, the mid-size Colorado gains a special edition that has been christened Shoreline. According to the golden bowtie, the Colorado in Shoreline flavor has been made to appeal to those in the market for such a truck.
The thing is, mid-size pickup trucks have gained momentum after Chevrolet launched the second-generation Colorado. The model accounts for 74 percent of the growth in the segment in calendar year 2015, which is a big deal for General Motors. So what makes the Colorado Shoreline stand out in the crowd?

First things first - the Colorado Shoreline is exclusively available in extended cab guise with a long box. What that means is that rear legroom is more limited compared to the crew cab. Regarding trim level, the Shoreline only comes in LT specification. Thankfully, though, Chevrolet lets customers choose between 2WD or 4WD.

These being said, let’s focus on the details. Available in four exterior colors (Red Hot, Laser Blue, Summit White, Silver Ice Metallic), the Colorado Shoreline is equipped with black-painted 18-inch wheels and it boasts black door handles, mirrors, and beltline. Additionally, the visual appeal of this pickup is enhanced by minimal exterior chrome accents and the cool-looking body color front grille.

People in California will love these things, more so if you consider that Cali is the largest mid-size pickup truck market in the United States. Here is a fact that will come as a surprise - more mid-size trucks were sold in Los Angeles in 2015 than the next two biggest markets combined. What about the goodies inside?

The list starts with a 4-way power adjustable driver seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning and it ends with remote keyless entry, 8-inch diagonal touchscreen radio with Chevrolet MyLink, Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay, and a one-year subscription to Sirius XM Satellite Radio. For those who can’t do without the latest in terms of connectivity, a 3-month/3-GB subscription to OnStar should do the trick.
