Chevrolet may have dropped some sweet performance figures for the 2017 Camaro ZL1 today, but, since we still can't touch the muscle car yet, numbers alone aren't enough.
That shouldn't be an issue, though, as we're here to show you a pair of sixth-gen ZL1s that has been spotted in the wild - these are the engineers completing the final testing. We're talking about a 650 hp monster dressed in Garnet Red Tintcoat and a Silver Ice Metallic machine - lens tip to the Camaro6 enthusiasts community for the images.

While the Silver shade is pretty much self-explanatory, we'll take the time to remind you that the rather toned-down appearance of the Garnet Red you see here is mostly owed to the particularities of this image - bring this baby under the sun and you'll meet an entirely new face of the color.

We're not sure about the details of the Red car, but, when it comes to the Silver Camaro, this was spotted earlier today in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Returning to the numbers mentioned in the intro, you might want to know that the 2017 Camaro ZL1 can complete the 0 to 60 sprint in 3.5 seconds, which means it can one-up the Challenger Hellcat by at least 0.1 seconds. Nevertheless, the Dodge is 0.2 seconds quicker than the 11.4 seconds ZL1 when it comes to the quarter-mile game.

Note that these values were recorded by a car using the new 10-speed automatic tranny. You know, the one that was co-developed with Ford and will also make its way into the future Shelby GT500.

As far as the twisties are concerned, the ZL1 can deliver up to 1.02 lateral Gs, while the 60-0 mph task is handled in 107 feet. Speaking of which, the 1LE track-ready package allows the naturally aspirated V8 Camaro to achieve the same skidpad value.

As for the pricing of the supercharged Camaro, the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Coupe kicks off at $62,135, while the Convertible comes with a $7,000 premium.

P.S.: No, the Nurburgring time still hasn't been announced.
