Audi is preparing to launch the 2017 RS3 Sedan, and testing has reached its final stages in the handling department.
We are writing about driving the prototype on the Nurburgring to within an inch of its life, and Audi’s test drivers are doing just that. Our spy photographers had their cameras ready, and they also filmed some of the action.
A little over a week ago, we showed you pictures of the RS3 Sedan while driving on the Nurburgring. While a picture is supposed to replace 1,000 words, some believe a video is "worth" more than 1,000 pictures. If the focus of the image is clear, the audio is perceptible, and it is not filmed in the portrait mode, we agree with all our hearts.
Since our friends at SB-Medien are skilled with both video and photo cameras, we can show you a high-quality video of the 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan while it is being thrashed on the most demanding track in the world, the Nurburgring. Also known as the Green Hell, it is chosen by many automakers as the ultimate proving ground for its troublesome corners and geometry.
As you can see (and hear) in the video embedded below, the Audi RS3 Sedan sounds great, and it can handle itself nicely if it is in the right hands. With approximately 400 HP, all-wheel-drive, a performance braking system, and high-performance suspension system, it is evident that Audi’s test drivers are enjoying themselves on the ‘ring, while the car is let loose to show what it can do.
Expect to see the new RS3 Sedan in Audi’s price lists and catalogs starting with August 2017. It might come to market sooner than anticipated, but the second half of next year is a sure bet if you want to own one of these go-fast premium sedans. Those that want one today could turn to Mercedes-AMG, for a CLA 45 4Matic, while some can wait a bit longer for a BMW M2 Sedan.
