The Audi R8 is not the sort of car that people look at and say "Boy, I wish it had more power." But many companies already offer engine upgrades for that 610 horsepower V10 shared with the Huracan.
Wheelsandmore is a company with a funny name and a consistent theme: offering lots of power... and cool wheels. For the R8 V10 plus, the new output of 850 hp means it has received 240 new ponies. Boy, it's a good thing Audi installed all-wheel drive!
By now, you probably know what to expect from a tuning project just by looking at the output. 850 hp from a V10 means it's supercharged, has ECU updates, new injectors, forged connecting rods, high-performance pistons and a different flywheel. So as not to turn the R8 into an uncontrolled beast, they also installed a Drexler locking differential.
The R8 is perhaps the only Audi that likes to show off everywhere it goes. Even standing still, it demands attention, unlike the RS6. That's why Wheelsandmore created a hand-fabricated exhaust system to match its personality and fitted custom graphics. Honestly, our favorite photo of the car is with its rear skirt down, but we know you guys would not have clicked that story. What better way is there to let the neighbors know that you have arrived than by opening the valve flap and letting 850 hp out?
The German supercar rides on custom black alloys with a golden lip. They measure 9.5x20 at the front and a much more impressive 12x21 at the rear. The tires are from Continental and stick the R8 to the road via 255/30/20 Sport Contact 5P rubber on the front and 325/25/21 on the rear.
"No sleep till ... the sun goes down, the tank is empty, or the pilot leaves his vehicle tired but very excited," that's how Wheelsandmore, a company from Baesweiler, announces its R8 tuning project.
