Have we peaked your #Qriosity? Sorry, we couldn't help it, just like Audi couldn't help making another generation of the Q5. It's one of the top sales contenders for the luxury SUV crown in Europe, right up there with the Volvo XC60 and the Mercedes GLC.

Even though no official info was released, we know a lot about the Q5. By using the MLB Evo platform, they've been able to make it slightly longer than before while keeping the weight down. Body rigidity is also increased.

The new family face will be slapped onto the front end, making the Q5 look like a smaller version of the Q7. We have a full gallery of the latest spy images to one side of the story.

As for the powertrains, we predict that it will be announced only with quattro powertrains. The 2.0 TFSI (252 PS) and 3.0 TDI (218 PS) will get a 7-speed twin-clutch gearbox. Meanwhile, the 272 PS version of the TDI and whatever happens to power the SQ5 will have an 8-speed automatic.

Later on, less powerful but more efficient engines will also be introduced, like the frugal 2.0 TDI and a 190 horsepower gasoline motor that runs an efficient combustion cycle. Some of these will be front-wheel drive, but it's worth mentioning that Audi has a smart quattro system that decouples when not needed. On the A4, it reduces fuel consumption by up to 5%.

As for the interior, it should look like a slightly raised version of the A4, just like the GLC-Class resembles the C-Class. All the tech, including a digital instrument cluster with integrated maps, will be supported by the powerful NVIDIA Tegra X1 chip.
