Last week, Audi pulled the curtain away from the all-new A5 coupe, together with the S5 model, as some of us expected. If the 2007 debut of the first generation is anything to go by, we'll see some more models very soon.
Leaked insider information dating back several months suggests the A5 and S6 Cabriolet will be next, followed by the Sportback 5-door model towards the end of the year.

That car will play a crucial role in the United States, but not until 2018 or so, when the RS5 comes out. Rumor has it that instead of an RS4 sedan, Audi is going to make a 5-door coupe version, which is the next best thing.

Every no-fan of Audi will look at these two renderings and say "Meh! Nothing good to look at!" However, we know from experience that renderings of the C205 C-Class Coupe and BMW 4 Series Gran Turismo have been extremely popular.

Any why wouldn't they be? Cars like the 3 Series have been around since the age of the dinosaurs. While they are good, some people want to make a lifestyle choice and drive a different car.

Of course, in Audi's case, the A5 family will offer a completely different look from the A4. Looking at these renderings from X-Tomi Design, we can't help but wonder why Marc Lichte didn't hire a decade ago. Big headlights, a flat grille, and sportier proportions are just some of the trademarks of the new A5 family.

It's weird how the car no longer looks anything like the TT or the A7. The new A5 looks amazing when compared to the previous model. That one now looks like a simpleton.

If our words are still not enough, then at least consider the fact that the renderings don't even show the S5 or the S-line package. And the cool thing is, you should be able to buy every version by the end of the year, at least in Europe.
