BMW has revealed the Alpina B7, the sportiest version of the new 7 Series available for purchase.
The car will be shown at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, and will be offered for sale starting this fall. The new B7 is the closest OEM product to an M7 that a client can purchase.

Since BMW does not make a sports version of the 7 Series, its partners at Alpina have developed a performance-oriented model based on the German flagship and called it B7.

The 2017 B7 comes with air suspension, Dynamic Damper control, Active Roll Stabilization system, and an Integral Active Steering system. The car’s eight-speed automatic transmission has been recalibrated to handle the increased output, and it is connected to an all-wheel-drive system tuned by Alpina.

The Alpina B7 is capable of a 0-60 MPH (0-97 km/h) time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed estimated at 193 MPH (310 km/h). The model features a 4.4-liter V8 engine with two turbochargers, which has been upgraded by the specialists in Buchloe. Thanks to the improvements, the engine delivers 600 HP and 590 lb-Ft (800 Nm) of torque.

While the B7 does bring performance enhancements, the car also features a different look, but not in a flashy kind of way.

The luxury sports sedan is fitted with a new front bumper, a front lip spoiler, and an active shutter grille. At the rear, you’ll find a stainless steel sport exhaust system with four exit pipes, and a discrete rear spoiler. From the side, the car features a set of 20-inch Alpina Classic rims that hide a high-performance braking system.

The brake calipers are painted in the brand’s signature shade of Blue. Concerning shades, the body can be painted in two exclusive exterior colors, Alpina Blue Metallic and Alpina Green metallic.

The luxurious interior of the BMW 7 Series was also enhanced by Alpina. The seats are covered in Nappa leather, and so is the dash. The sport steering wheel features blue and green contrast stitching, the traditional colors of the Alpina brand.

Furthermore, customers can order special trim like Piano Black or Myrtle Luxury Wood. The B7 also features a head-up display and rearview camera as standard equipment, along with other features like a modified digital instrument cluster.
