UPDATE: It looks like the two pictures are not showing the facelifted Alfa Romeo MiTo. Instead, this Italian website claims the car belongs to someone who slightly customized their car. Also, the same photos appear on Facebook and we can tell you the honeycomb grille is offered by Italian tuner Simoni Racing as a personalisation option for the MiTo. Guess we'll have to wait some more for clues on the real Alfa Romeo development. As of yesterday, we have no doubt Alfa Romeo is working hard to come up with a facelifted MiTo hatchback, but as it usually happens with test mules, camouflage gets in the way.
But lady luck smiled on Autoblog.gr, who got their hands on two pictures showing the cute hatchback resting in what looks like a garage. Nonetheless, the camouflage foils were all gone so the one behind the camera could capture the car's front and rear ends unmasked.

Yesterday, we were telling you about a debate on whether Alfa Romeo will grant the MiTo a facelift or a new generation, but after seeing these pictures there's no doubt we're looking at a slightly refreshed MiTo hatchback.

The spoiler might have gone some cosmetic tweaking, but we can't tell from this angle. The car is still covered by protective wraps, but as far as we can tell, designers came up with a new front grille with a honeycomb pattern up front.

It is also possible that the front spoiler might have gone through some cosmetic tweaking, but we can't tell from this angle while at the back the facelifted MiTo shows redesigned fog and reverse lights.

There's still no info on what changes will be operated inside, but don't expect a revolution to happen here, as Alfa Romeo will play the discrete refreshing game in the cabin as well.

It also looks like those in charge of testing the refreshed MiTo are keeping the car in its element, that is inside the city. From the spyshots sent in the other day by our carparazzi, the Italians are focused on making the MiTo as good as possible for trips around the city.

At this point, we're not willing to bet on the fact that Alfa Romeo will come up with new engine choices for the 2017 MiTo, so all we can tell you is that clients will be able to choose from the same lineup available for the ongoing MiTo, including the 140-horsepower 1.4-liter Multiair turbo mill.
