It’s clear as daylight that the next Toyota Tacoma will look more rough and manly at last. And we have a new teaser photo to prove that.
Following the Lexus performance sedan teasers, Toyota decided it’s cool to give us another glimpse of if its upcoming mid-size pickup truck, which is scheduled to be fully unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

OK, so this time we’re taking a look at the front of the truck, the right-hand quarter to be exact, which shows some interesting improvements, the biggest one being the grille itself.

Chunky design

Clearly stepping into the Tundra’s tracks when coming to boldness, the upcoming Taco gets a hexagonal grille with three horizontal black bars (chromed ones on upper trim models probably), redesigned sharper headlights with integrated daytime running lights as well as a new bumper with the lower grille further extending sideways to reunite the foglights.

You can also see the wheel arches’ design has been doubled up on the fender and that lower bumper moulding could tell a story about an optional bash plate to be fit there, hopefully on the 4x4 model.

There are still no words on powertrains nor body styles, but regarding Toyota’s conservator fashion, the 2016 Tacoma should be offered in both Dual and Access Cab versions with both an inline four-cylinder and a V6 engine choices.
