While the 2016 Toyota Prius hasn’t hit the market yet, the tuning world is already prepared to... give it a bit of a Ferrari face.
The news comes from Japanese aftermarket specialist Wald International, which is working on a body kit for the fourth generation of the famous hybrid.

For now, the tuner has only released a teaser for the program, which comes in the form of an image revealing most of the details we need to see.

It’s difficult not to notice the lower front fascia, which seems to come straight from the Ferrari F12berlinetta. We’ve put together a mixed image above, so those who are not following the Prancing Horse’s line-up closely can see what we mean.

Sure, in today’s constrain-loaded design world, it’s difficult to come up with a design that doesn’t remind one of anything else seen so far. But working around aerodynamic and safety rules is one thing, and coming up with such Maranello-close styling is another thing.

After all, the rest of the front fascia remains standard, so the Prancing Horse chin stands out even more. Nevertheless, we don’t expect Wald to have introduced the active aerodynamic bits the F12 uses on the side of its front bumper.

What about the rest of the kit?

As for the rest of the package, the Prius has received a set of side skirts that try to make one think about going fast, with their bold styling details.

Wald also ditched the standard wheels of the Toyota (not the most enticing in the world, we have to admit that). They’ve introduced a set of custom rollers that use a turbine-like design.

As it usually happens with the JDM tuner, the tech side of the Prius will remain untouched, so all you eco geeks can focus on the MPG while driving your Prirrari.
