Lucky for us, Subaru America just published pricing details for the 2016 Series.Hyperblue BRZ and WRX STI.

As a side note, we'll tell you the Japanese brand will only assemble 700 WRX STI and 500 BRZ models for the United States, with the first cars expected to reach dealerships this fall.

The Series.HyperBlue WRX STI will wear a price tag of $38,995 (without destination charge), but for this not-that-small amount of money the clientele will be entertained with Hyper Blue stitching for the standard Alcantara seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and console.

Power still comes from a 305-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer engine, kept under control by a Brembo performance brake system and Active Torque Vectoring tech.

As far as the Series.HyperBlue BRZ is concerned, its sticker was set at $27,690 (without destination fee). This kind of money will buy you the same Hyper Blue stitching as available in the Series.HyperBlue WRX STI. Also, the blue motif is found on the center console knee pads and door trim.

The Series.HyperBlue BRZ comes equipped with the familiar 200-horsepower 2.0-liter engine connected to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Other visual highlights include 17-inch black alloy wheels plus a black finish for exterior badging and mirrors. In addition, the BRZ receive's Subaru's upgraded Starlink Multimedia system with 6.2-inch single-touch gesture display and a rear vision camera offered as standard equipment.

The destination and delivery fee will remove an additional $795 from the pockets of those eager to get their hands on one of these two versions, but if you feel like owning a limited edition Japanese sportscar, we don't see a reason why you shouldn't go for it.
