The 2016 Revology Mustang isn’t the typical restomod. In comparison to how the Singer company reconditions the bodywork of the 911, Revology manufactures the body and chassis of their retro-modern ‘Stang from square one. You heard that right.
As much as I appreciate the elbow grease and attention to detail put into the Singer 911, it all pales when compared to the jaw-dropping 2016 Revology Mustang, the product of a small outfit based in Orlando, Florida. First and foremost, I want to talk about the retail pricing of this magnificent thing.

I don’t know how to soften the blow, so here’s Johnny: $119,500 for the Revology Mustang Fastback (FBS), $120,000 for the Premium Fastback (FB1) and $122,000 for the Premium Convertible (CNV).

In terms of optional extras, you only need to tick three boxes in particular.

These are the 4-speed automatic ($1,195), the Audiophile Entertainment System ($2,495) and the GT Appearance Package ($1,495). Slated to be unveiled to the public at the Amelia Concours d’Elegance, this ode to the original Mustang from 1964 is the epitome of classic muscle motoring with added LED lights, keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity for your phone and a 3-year/unlimited miles powertrain warranty.

Combining the stylistic cues of the 1964 1/2 Mustang with modern aesthetic touches, the Revology Mustang comes with a brand new, Ford-licensed Dynacorn body shell and an all-new chassis. Not joking.

The latter features McPherson struts front and 3-link rear suspension with coils and Watts link. If the powertrain interests you more than the 21st century body and platform, you’re in for a treat. As standard, the five-speed manual is mated to a 5-liter V8 with electronic fuel injection and a 65 mm throttle body.

Yup, it’s a 302 cu.in. Windsor vee-eight churning out 265 ponies and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque. Additionally, a 3.70:1 limited-slip diff rounds off the Revology Mustang nicely.
