2016 Renault Megane Imagined as a 2000-Something Renault Fluence in Rendering

You've probably already seen the new Renault Megane that was launched at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show just two weeks ago, so you know what the French designers are up to.
The new compact model from Renault looks very promising both inside and out, with bold design touches and a modern-looking interior. Whether it will turn out to be a success for the French manufacturer only depends on how the car will actually drive.

We already know six of the available engines and they offer power outputs ranging from 90 to 205 hp, but who's to say there won't be any more? Actually, there will definitely be at least one more model, and we're talking here about the wonderful RS which is said to be an eight-minute car on the 'Ring.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves here just yet. No, that's something only our good friend, Theophilus Chin, is allowed to do. Knowing Renault will absolutely have to offer a sedan version of its new compact model, he set out and, with the available information, imagined how it would look.

Unsurprisingly, he did a terrific job. The front part was easy, as it remains the same as the hatchback - a rule the current model, the Fluence, didn't adhere to, even though it should have considering how the two body-styles ended up looking.

Everything behind the B-pillar, however, is either significantly or slightly changed. For instance, the car's hips are a bit more pronounced, while the rear door window line doesn't scoop up as drastically as in the hatchback's case.

In fact, what Theophilus did was to morph the Renault Megane compact hatchback with the just as new Renault Talisman mid-sized sedan, and if anyone at Renault has any sense, this exactly how the future Fluence (or whatever they'll call it) will look like. If so, the Mazda3 Sedan has gotten itself some serious competition.
