Come on, Renault, we know there's more where these seven images came from. First of all, it would be wasteful to organize such a photo shoot for only seven images, but then there are those images leaked yesterday, and there were TEN of them.
We should quit bitching and just be glad Renault finally decided to make things official and release a set of photos and... not much else, really. We do know now a little bit about the new Megane's dimensions, at least in comparison with the outgoing third generation. So, the model that's set to be launched in Frankfurt is 25 mm shorter than the current one, and also has a 47 mm wider front track and a 39 mm wider rear one. This means the new Renault Megane will hug the road nicely, an aspect at which the French C-segment car was never too bad at.

It also comes with an increased wheelbase (28 mm) and shorter overhangs (as to not affect the car's total length). This means more leg room for the passengers in the back and also a more purposeful stance as the wheels get pushed further towards the four corners.

While we wait for the new Renault Megane R.S., we'll have the GT version to keep us warm right from the launch. These models come with a new, redesigned front bumper sporting larger air intakes and a honeycomb motif for the grille. GT's rear is dominated by two chrome exhaust tips framing a "Formula One inspired air diffuser." Well, when your name is so heavily connected to Formula One, you get to say things like this, even though they sound daft.

The new Renault Megane GT comes with a special "Iron Blue" paint and a set of 18-inch wheels designed specifically for this model by the RenaultSport division. It may not be a true R.S. model, but it will have to do. The top engine available for the Megane GT should be the 1.6 TCe currently found in the Clio R.S. and developing around 200 hp.

Even though there's only a week left until the Frankfurt Motor Show begins, expect a full online reveal in the days to come with engine details and everything. That is unless somebody leaks even more info ahead of the official Renault release.
