2016 Mazda6 Wallpapers: the Kodo is Strong With This One

Our latest review focuses on the 2016 Mazda6 sedan. In a nutshell, we’re dealing with a minor facelift joined by similarly minor updates to the equipment list. Due to the fact driving dynamics and engine options are the same as before, you can say that the devil is in the details, as you can find out from the test's photo gallery

An aspect that immediately catches your attention is the pair of redesigned headlights. Officially dubbed ALH (or Adaptive LED Headlights for long), the cluster itself is both a work of art and a form-follows-function gadget. See the four LED light blocks? These babies can be switched on and off independently. As such, the LEDs improve visibility without dazzling oncoming drivers.

There’s no eye candy that can be labelled new when it comes to the side profile of the 2016 Mazda6. It would have been nice to discover new aesthetics details, but you know what? Just look at the photo above. It’s all athletic, vigorous and attractive, like a jigsaw falling into place. The Kodo is strong with this one.

As far as the accommodation is concerned, there is plenty of room for five tall adults. Further enhancing the practicality offered by the 2,830-mm (111.4-in) wheelbase is the feeling induced by the quality of the materials. There’s no grandstand play of design here, but everything feels nice to touch and has that certain purposefulness about it. A nice place to be in, full stop.

On the technological front, the 2016 Mazda6 facelift is not on par with what German manufacturers offer on their mid-size sedans, but the essentials are there. A touchscreen media system that can do Wi-Fi, heated seats front and rear, even a simple yet efficient head-up display that offers basic driving information.

On a scale of 1 to 10, the beauty of the 2016 Mazda6 can’t be assessed by one man. Its flowing lines mean a thing to me and other things to the people that are reading this. Before you drop us a comment with the score you’d give the Japanese sedan for its looks, take a look at 48 more high-def photos of the updated 6.
