2016 Mazda MX-5 Stars in Emotional Spot of a Driver's Life

Good things are happening in Mazda's backyard, besides the new 2016 MX-5 Miata. This time, Mazda's marketing department came up with a video that will soften every car guy out there.

Mazda North American Operations is rolling a new campaign meant to convince every potential client out there that driving matters. Well, most of us know that especially those wearing a petrolhead badge, but the way Mazda sent the message is what catches the eye.

Of course, the Japanese brand wants to celebrate its core values and this is where the 'A Driver's Life' video comes into play. The video chronicles the major moments and life stages of a Mazda driver, from the moment he gets his driving license, to the first speeding ticket and the first date.

Here's what those in charge of the campaign had to say about Mazda's new motto:

“Mazda makes cars for people who take pleasure in driving, and 'Driving Matters' perfectly aligns with that philosophy. Through our creative process, it became evident that Mazda’s inspiration for pure driving enjoyment is something that relates to the typical car buyer,” said Harvey Marco, creative director, Garage Team Mazda.

As you'll see in the video, a driver's life is strongly connected to his or her car. Sure, most of us don't need to hear that as we've experienced the bond we share with our cars. But a trip down memory lane is good every now and then, so we'll ask you this: when was the last time you actually had fun while driving your car?
