Exactly a week ago we were showing you the facelifted Lotus Evora out testing, under heavy camouflage. As it turns out, today we got a fresh batch of the updated Brit and we have to say that not much seems changed.
As we already told you, the company confirmed that it will be bringing something new to the Geneva Motor Show that is bound to kick off at the beginning of March. However, they were rather tight-lipped as to what exactly it was going to be, mentioning just words like ‘exciting’ and ‘reveal’.

From the looks of things not much is going to happen on the outside. The car in the photos seems to be exactly the same as the pre-facelift one. Minor changes can be spotted on the front bumper (new LED daytime running lights and wider air intakes) and in the back in the shape of a new spoiler and new diffuser.

Hopefully, though, more will change under the skin where a 3.5-liter V6 from Toyota is currently animating things. In the standard model it makes 276 BHP and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) while the Evora S has 345 HP and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) to rely on.

Of course, a bump in power wouldn’t be enough, a retune of the suspension along with some chassis tweaks being capable of changing the performance figures but we can’t tell all of that from the spy shots.

While it all seems a bit boring at the moment and not at all what you expected, the bold statements done by the current CEO, Jean-Marc Gales should give you hope. He’s claiming that Lotus cars will soon be giving Porsche a run for its money. Hopefully, they’ll deliver.
