Lincoln want to keep their models fresh and up to date even if they've barely been on the market for a year, but there's nothing wrong with trying to please and attract customers.
One solution towards a better visibility among clientele was the partnership with Matthew McConaughey, who is Brand Ambassador for Lincoln and helped with promoting the MKC crossover.
But for 2016, Lincoln decided to mildly imbue the MKC with retouches for the interior and the exterior. The makeover does not include design changes because this is not a facelift.
However, Lincoln offers a revised color palette for the crossover's outer shell, with several new options such as Black Velvet, Luxe Metallic, and Burgundy Velvet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.
Furthermore, for versions on top of the lineup food chain the MKC will be embroidered a White Sands/Espresso interior as well as a standard power liftgate.
There's also a Climate Package involving a windshield wiper de-icer and a Trailer Tow Package for those looking for outdoors adventure. The latter takes the MKC's towing capacity to 3,000 lbs (1360 kg).
In terms of engine options, things remain intact. That means clients will be able to choose between a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder mill with 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque or a slightly superior 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder pot with 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft (413.5 Nm) of torque.
On the tech side, the MKC greets customers with the SYNC 3 driver connectivity system along with an intelligent all-wheel drive system with continuously controlled damping, lane-keeping system, collision warning system, active park assist with park-out capabilities and a blind spot information system.
Remote connectivity is provided by the available MyLincoln Mobile app.
