While the Middle East is busy enjoying their supercharged Lexus LX 570, Japanese magazine Best Car published a photo showing what looks to be the facelifted 2016 Lexus LX 570.
Whenever a big, luxury-aiming SUV hits the market, there are at least two parties interested in it: Russian tuners and the Middle East. However, news about the upcoming refreshed Lexus LX 570 come from the vehicle's home country, Japan.
We don't get much intel on the SUV, and there's only one leaked photo to satisfy our curiosity on how the LX 570 looks like. However, we can still spot a unified spindle grille and redesigned headlights with integrated daytime running lights and changed fog lamps.
It's encouraging to see the facelift didn't bring a Predator-like face for the LX like we saw in a recent tuning example from Larte Design. Expect some visual changes at the back as well, but nothing too substantial; maybe a modified bumper and new graphics for the taillights.
Tech-wise, the LX could receive the new Lexus Safety System + Toyota presented a couple of months ago. As a result, the SUV could feature Pedestrian Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beam and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, all detailed in our dedicated guide.
Since no proper info is yet available on what will lie under the hood, there's a good chance clients will get the same 5.7-liter V8 plant good for 389 HP and 403 lb-ft (546 Nm) of torque. Other oily bits will most likely consist of a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system enhanced by a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Coincidence or not, a few days ago Lexus LX's sister model - the 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser - was leaked displaying the same discrete visual treatment for the front end.
