By now you probably know that the newest model from Lamborghini, the Superveloce version of the Aventador, claims that it managed to go around the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes. While no official confirmation came from Italy so far, it would be an impressive performance considering that it did it without forced induction.
The SV is the most hardcore and most powerful Lambo ever put together. It has the same 6.5-liter V12 engine under the bonnet as the standard Aventador but tuned to make 750 HP, a hefty 50 more than the standard model.
On top of that, a couple of other changes were also done to the chassis, including a weight reduction program that shed 50 kilos (110 lbs) and some tweaks for the super fast transmission and the suspension. Oh, and did we mention the aerodynamic improvements?
Now the Italians are bringing out a Roadster version of this monster and it looks... exactly as you'd imagine. The difference between the two body versions are, just like on the non-SV models, limited to the roof. To be more precise, the Roadster doesn't have one.
Even so, it's a breathtaking car and the photos below tell us all about it, ahead of the official unveiling. The question that remains to be answered is how many of them will the Raging Bull company build.
The 'normal' Superveloce will be built in only 500 600 units and we've heard 500 are planned for the Roadster, but until we have an official confirmation it's just a guess. The price tag will be a bit higher though.
