In case you were curious to know what's going on with Jaguar's first-ever SUV, here's an update: the F-Pace is alive and kicking, as carparazzi spotted it lapping the Green Hell.
The Jaguar F-Pace SUV goes for the first time on the Nürburgring track, but the Brits - or better said, the Indians - won't give away any of the car's design cues.
In fact, all we can see besides those acres of kaleidoscopic camouflage relates to the car's shape, which looks a lot like what was previewed by the C-X17 prototype two years ago.
But other than a sloping roofline and short overhangs at the front, there's nothing new in the exterior look department. Remember, the F-Pace will go against the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Audi Q5 so Jaguar must focus on both looks and performance.
Talking about performance, we previously spied the F-Pace showing off near Gaydon, powered by 3.0-liter V6 that puts 340 HP on the table. If you're thinking about the same engine on the F-Type, you're absolutely right.
The F-Pace will also receive a batch of 4-cylinder Ingenium engines, you know, for those who don't want to break windows with exhaust sounds or make back seat passengers nauseous. And since Tata Motors owns both Jaguar and Land Rover, some know-how along with bits and pieces from the Range Rover Evoque could go into the F-Pace.
We expect the Jaguar F-Pace SUV to make a debut in Frankfurt, at the IAA 2015 in September, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more intel emerges.
