Slated to arrive in North America this coming April, the 2016 Jaguar F-Type is bigger, more versatile and better than ever before. Before we go any further, I want to mention a single detail: the 2016 Jaguar F-Type boasts with a value advantage between $3,550 and $11,850 by increasing its list of standard equipment.
To put the value advantage into perspective, let me tell you two things. First of all, the entry-level 2016 Jaguar F-Type Coupe Manual ($65,000) is $4,410 less, has more standard equipment and 65 more horsepower than the entry-level 2015 Porsche Cayman. That’s serious competitive advantage, all things considered.

Secondly, the 2016 F-Type Coupe, S Coupe and R Convertible, respectively, have 65, 30 and 150 more horsepower than the Cayman, 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S Convertible.

All three similarly equipped F-Type models are priced lower than the Stuttgart machines at $4,410, $23,745, and $19,165 less, respectively. This is a 2-naught for Jaguar, then.

These being said, here is the pricing for the 2016 Jaguar F-Type lineup (excluding the $995 destination):
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe Manual:                  $65,000
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe                               $66,300
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE S Coupe Manual                $77,300
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE S Coupe                            $78,800
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE S Coupe AWD                   $84,800
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE R Coupe                            $103,600
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible Manual           $68,100
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible                        $69,400
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE S Convertible                     $81,900
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE S Convertible Manual         $80,400
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE S Convertible AWD            $87,900
  • 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE R Convertible                     $106,450

Naturally, the icing on top of the 2016 Jaguar F-Type cake is the R Convertible. Thanks to all-wheel drive and 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm) from its 5-liter supercharged V8, we are dealing with a British cat than can leap to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds. If you’re brave enough, the modern equivalent of the E-Type will effortlessly accelerate all the way to 186 mph (300 km/h). Careful with the police though.
