The waiting is over for Infiniti fans as the automaker revealed the US pricing for all its 2016 Q70 lineup today, which includes nine available models.
While the numbers are unchanged from the previous model year, for 2016, the Q70 comes new with a Premium Select Edition, exclusively for standard wheelbase Q70 3.7 and Q70 5.6 models. The exterior of this special edition features dark chrome trim, darkened lower rear bumper finisher, rear spoiler, unique 20-inch wheel design with chrome finish and Sports Brakes.
The interior comes with a choice of two exclusive semi-aniline leather colors, Stone and Graphite, along with contrasting seat piping, suede-like headliner, exclusive laser-etched aluminum trim, illuminated kick plates, unique floor mats and aluminum badging. The Premium package is offered at $3,300 over the standard Q70 3.7 and Q70 5.6 rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive models' prices.
The entire lineup adds two new exterior colors, the Hagane Blue and Majestic White, both featuring a pearl finish.
The Q70 is Infiniti’s latest performance luxury sedan and both the standard and long wheelbase 3.7 and 5.6 models come with rear-wheel-drive and Infiniti's Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive system.
Just like the badging says, the Q70 3.7 and Q70L 3.7 feature a 3.7-liter V6 engine developing 330 horsepower. The Q70 5.6 and Q70L 5.6 offer the 5.6-liter V8 capable of 420 horsepower for the normal Q70 and 416 horsepower for the long wheelbase version. All these engines are linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission as standard.
The 2015 Q70 Hybrid shares the company’s advanced Direct Response Hybrid system that includes a one-motor and two-clutch parallel hybrid system. The main engine is a 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 which, together with the 50 kW electric motor, provides a combined power of 360 horsepower.
Infiniti provides its customers with a number of equipment packages that allow them to customize their vehicles to their exact tastes. These are the Premium Package, Deluxe Touring Package, Sport Package, AWD Sport Package, Sport Touring Package, Technology Package, V8 LWB Deluxe Technology Package and Performance Tire & Wheel Package.
