Silicon Valley is America's largest technology hub and one of the biggest in the world, so Honda saw it as a proper scene to unveil the refreshed 2016 Accord.
The association with technology is not a coincidental one, as the sedan received a pack of gizmos Honda claims to be "the most comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies in the midsize car class."
For 2016, the revised Honda Accord comes with a seven-inch touchscreen interface that allows users to make the best out of the Display Audio infotainment system, which integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
These features are only available on EX and above trims, along with HondaLink Assist (e911) and HD radio.
Moreover, the seven-inch Display Audio touchscreen is paired to an upper 7.7-inch high-res display screen and steering wheel-mounted controls.
The top screen can display useful info such as the audio settings, turn-by-turn directions, time and trip information, LaneWatch and Rearview Camera displays, incoming calls, SMS text messages when stopped, and parking sensor alerts.
Sport and above trims in the sedan lineup earn new 60/40 split and folding rear seat, previously a one-piece folding config. Also, the Accord Sedan in Touring trim gets heated rear seats, front and rear parking sensors and new rain-sensing windshield wipers.
On the outside, Honda designers came up with a more aggressive design for the front and rear ends. As you'll notice in the photo gallery, headlights have an Acura flavour about them while the front bumper houses LED foglights, but only in the Sport trim and above.
LED is also the name of the game for the Accord's taillights while the aggressive appearance was also boosted in this department.
For those looking for more muscle, there's the option of going for a 3.5-liter V6 plant. The unit can be teamed up with either a six-speed manual gearbox ar a six-speed auto transmission.
