2016 GMC Sierra Shows Off Its New Face

The mechanically similar counterpart of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado decided to show off its new face. In comparison to the Chevy pickup truck, the 2016 GMC Sierra light-duty full-size workhorse pushes the visual drama game a bit further.

Starting with the biggest update of this mild refresh, GMC’s blue-collared truck boasts modern C-shaped LED daytime running lights integrated with the headlamps. Around the rear, the taillights also form a C for extra visual drama. Slated to arrive at dealers in the fourth quarter of the year, the 2016 GMC Sierra also gains a new fascia, bumpers, and fog lights.

In the adjacent video, it’s easy to see that there are somewhat important differences between the SLT, All-Terrain, and Denali as far as aesthetics are concerned. Though the Sierra Denali is wearing a radiator grille on the opulent side of things, we can’t complain about the back-to-basics look of the SLT or the dark finish front grille of the All-Terrain carryall.

The brand’s best-selling truck doesn’t have any more secrets to share with us at the present moments, with further data to be released in the coming months. Still, we can confirm that the entire model range will receive the Hydra-Matic 8-speed automatic transmission, just as the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado.

An updated MyLink infotainment system is also on the menu, joined by support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. At the end of the day, the redesigned Sierra stands true to the GMC “We are professional grade” motto. At the present moment, we can’t confirm whether the GMC Sierra heavy-duty lineup will receive the same treatment as the light-duty for the 2016 MY.
