After the ordering books opened on May 11th, the 2016 Ford Mustang lineup now has a price list. Without further ado, we’re happy to inform you that the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the 2016 Mustang is similar to the 2015 model year 'Stang.
Uncovered by DavisCustoms on the Mustang6G forum, the 2016 Ford Mustang is available in 8 models. For the entry-level V6 Fastback with the six-speed manual transmission, customers are charged $23,800 and $825 for destination and delivery.

Opt for the six-speed automatic transmission and that sticker hikes by $1,195. The 3.55-ratio axle on the six-speed manual transmission variants of the V6 and GT adds a further $395 to the 2016 Mustang’s retail price.

Going topless is a costly affair when you compare the Fastback with the ragtop. In the V6’s case, FoMoCo is charging a hefty $29,300. That’s similar money to the 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Fastback Premium. The lowest you can go if you want the 5-Oh V8 is $32,300 while the GT Convertible Premium is $41,800.

I’m glad the Blue Oval didn’t play around with the S550’s pricing, but where’s the long-rumored I-don’t-know-how-many-gears-automatic we’ve all been waiting? The outgoing 6R80 is based on ZF’s 6HP26 unit and it was introduced in 2005 in the 2006 Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer SUVs.

But is the glass half empty or half full? At the end of the day, the 2016 Mustang introduces hood vent-mounted turn lights (on the GT) and packaging options such as the California Special and Pony Package. Other than the previously mentioned updates, SYNC 3 infotainment is a welcomed addition as well.
