It’s official, ladies and gents. The cheapest 2016 Fiat 500X green dollar bills can buy is $20,000 excluding destination. The subcompact crossover SUV shares much of its underpinnings with the Jeep Renegade, yet the American model starts from a mere $17,995.
There are some differences in standard equipment and the abilities of the two off the beaten track, but the bottom line is a $2,000 difference between the two siblings born in Melfi, Italy. To put the starting price of the 500X into perspective, a 500L is $655 cheaper and the Fiat 500 Abarth is $2,495 more.
The $20,000 starting MSRP applies to the front-wheel drive Fiat 500X Pop, which comes with a 160 HP 1.4 MultiAir Turbo paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, a choice of five exterior colors, USB port, a 3.5-inch digital cluster display, heated power side mirrors and a body-color instrument panel. Not bad.
Move on up to the 2016 Fiat 500X Easy and $22,300 will add the 2.4-liter MultiAir engine with 180 HP on tap, a 9-speed automatic transmission, 12 exterior colors, 5-inch Uconnect infotainment, 17-inch wheels and tinted windows. If you want all-wheel drive, that’ll be $24,200. The 500X Trekking is the aesthetically off-road-ified model, costing $23,100 for front-wheel drive and $25k if you want an all-wheel drive system.
In the 500X Lounge’s case, $24,850/$26,750 will get you ambient lighting, 6.5-inch Uconnect infotainment with navigation and HD Radio, rear parking camera, cornering fog lamps, automatic headlamps, heating for the front seats and steering wheel. Last but not least, the range-topping 2016 Fiat 500X Trekking Plus is $27,100/$29,000 with all bells and whistles galore; 18-inch aluminum wheels, some leather here and there, rear park assist, blind spot monitoring, and Rear Cross Path Detection included.
More than 100 Mopar accessories are available for the 2016 Fiat 500X. Discover them in the release below.
