2016 Fiat 500X having way to much fun 1 photo

A car that does nothing more than simply ferrying you around is a sad car and it usually has a sad driver. After just a few days with the 2016 Fiat 500X we can guarantee you this: it is no sad car. And we've got the images to prove it. For one thing, it can go anywhere, from a big city avenue to a big pool of muddy water and feel right at home in both instances. Then, just look at it: it's cute without being too feminine, so even people with hair on their chest can drive it and not feel emasculated. And they can drive it fast, they can drive it hard or they can drive it right through a pool of muddy water. Yeah, I know, I've got an obsession, but it's an extremely fun obsession.

Front, rear or sides, driving through the city this car is guaranteed to turn some heads. It's still a pretty new model and people haven't gotten used to it yet, so they'll want that second look. They'll see it and go: "What the hell? What's wrong with that Fiat 500?" Nothing's wrong. In fact, everything is just perfect. Only it's not a bloated Fiat 500, it's a completely now model.

And we're back to what apparently was our favorite activity in the Fiat 500X, splashing through the already famous pools of murky water. As you can see, it works both ways. What more is there to say? You really should have been there to get the whole dose of fun, but I'd say our photographer did a fine job of capturing the moment.

This image was obviously taken after the whole water amusement park experience, as the dried mud on the white body clearly shows. And yet, the Fiat 500X looks like it couldn't care less about the dirt. It actually seems to enjoy it, just like we were enjoying the break from the rain.

This image has "Catcher in the Rye" written all over it, even though that's no rye, but mere grass, and there was nobody there to catch. Still, making this J. D. Salinger association instantly boost its credential and also make me sound like a well-read man, so it's a win-win situation. Come to think of it, there's also another caption that suits the picture, but is less flattering towards me: "Shhhh! Be vewy, vewy, quiet. I'm hunting wabbits."

And after all the fun and games, we're back in the city and as you can see, so is the rain. The good part is it washed the car so we can get back to the civilized world without any visible sign of our escapade. The Fiat 500X would blend in neatly with all the other crossovers if it weren't for its particular design. No, this is definitely not a car for those who prefer to remain unseen.
