The no rest for the wicked certainly applies when it comes to the 2016 Camaro SS. Ever since customer deliveries kicked off a few weeks ago, the aftermarket scene has been boiling with developments for the slab of GM metal. And tuners don't seem ready to pause their activities just because we're all at home, decorating our Christmas trees. How about a supercharger as an ornament for this season?
This must be the question that popped into the minds of those working for Lingenfelter Performance, with the tuner being almost ready to give us a blown incarnation of the 2016 Camaro SS.

So far, we've only received the pair of images below, but we won't complain. That's because the setup looks as clean as a manufacturer one, with the green belt being the only aspect that draws attention.

Most of the credit for the aftermarket hype being generated around the Camaro SS goes to the muscle car borrowing the Corvette's LT4. And while Lingenfelter only said they've worked with Magnuson Superchargers on the project, we can look at their C7 'Vette projects to see what we could expect for the Camaro.

For the Corvette, Lingenfelter uses an Edelbrock-supplied TVS2300 blower, allowing customers to choose between three muscle levels: 624 hp, 700 hp and 750 hp.

However, we should get out hands on the Lingenfelter-supercharged 2016 Camaro SS soon, so a late visit from Santa is not excluded.

So far, the quickest MY16 Camaro SS we've seen had been gifted with a shot of nitrous. The machine was obviously taken to the drag strip, where it managed to pull a 10.6-second run (more on that topic here).

When the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 came out, we though the rapid aftermarket development pace compared to the 2015 Mustang was impressive, but the Camaro is simply in a different league as far as this is concerned.
