The hype that is created around the upcoming BMW M4 GTS is getting ridiculous. One big question that nobody was capable of answering before was if it will make it across the pond, to the US. Apparently, the answer is yes.
A member of the huge Bimmerpost community recently stumbled upon the hardcore BMW M4 GTS in the US ordering system, a clear indication that yes, it will be sold in North America as well. According to the original post, it will be available starting with week 9 of 2016.
That’s exciting news that also offers a timeline for use to follow until the car’s official unveiling takes place. Knowing BMW, they will probably show it in full somewhere later this year, most likely at Frankfurt.
On top of that, a host of weight-saving features is also expected. The rear seats will be removed, and the front ones could be replaced with thinner, lighter versions. A roll cage will be added to the mix, as we noticed in our spyshots while the overall aerodynamics of the thing will be improved as well (with at least a front splitter and a rear wing).
Organic LEDs could also make a debut on it, as they are known for being lighter than conventional devices with similar or even better lighting. On top of all this, if BMW wants it to, the new generation of laser lights could be introduced, featuring adaptive beams. That’s the longest shot of them all though.
The only question that remains unanswered is how much it will cost. Well, since the E92 M3 GTS was nearly $150,000, we expect the M4 to follow in the same footsteps.

It will be fitted with the recently introduced water injection cooling system that is supposedly capable of taking the power output up from 431 HP to somewhere around 500 HP without harming reliability.On top of that, a host of weight-saving features is also expected.
