Ladies and gentleman, we are close to seeing the all-new 7 Series come out from under BMW cover of secrecy, the car that will rival the S-Class for comfort and style. The debut is scheduled for June 10th, but as usual some details managed to find their way online way before the due date.

This time around, we don't simply have a couple of pictures, but whole chunks of information coming through the BMW Austria configurator. The first thing we learned? Base price, which is a mere €100,445 for the 730d model. This is equipped with a 265 horsepower (that's PS) 3-liter diesel engine. You can also have xDrive on this diesel model, in which case you will be spending €107,480.

Mercedes' equivalent model is the S 350 d rated at 258 hp and currently fetching about €82,000 in Germany, exactly the same as an Audi A8 ultra 3.0 TDI. There's a huge gap, so there must be an extra cost associated with the Austrian market.

Moving on with the intel we received from Bimmer Today, the cheapest petrol-powered version of the G11 7 Series is the 740i, which is powered by a 326 hp inline-6 turbo and costs €107,690. The more powerful 750i xDrive retails from €137,935 and offers a familiar output of 450 hp.

The configurator also reveals all of the colors that will be available with the new 7er after its debut: Alpine White, Carbon Black, Black Sapphire, Black (non-metallic), Cashmere Silver, Glacier Silver, Imperial Blue, Mineral White, Singapore Grey, Jatoba, Magellan Gray and Arctic Gray Brilliant.

Wheels come in many shapes and sizes that range from 17 to 20 inches. We are also offered glimpses of the new M Sport package and the full-LED adjustable headlights, which are a €1,800 option in Austria.
