After Audi revealed the all-new Audi A4 Limousine and Avant, it's only natural people started making renderings of all the future variants. Last week, we saw an RS4 and today we look at the practical side of the quattro world with the 2016 A4 Allroad quattro.
This all-wheel drive wagon will almost certainly enter production in 2016, but you don't have to wait that long for a look. Graphics designer Remco M has rendered the next A4 allroad with all its necessary toughened bits. These include new gray plastic bumper and fender inserts, raised suspension and a unique grille.
The A4 allroad has more competitors than ever, including the Subaru Outback and Volvo XC70. However, the one to watch out for is the new Volkswagen Passat Alltrack, which was just launched this year. The model is bigger than before and also rides better while the latest 2-liter engines can deliver up to 240 PS while burning diesel.
But we're confident Audi's new A4 is up to the challenge, since it's being equipped with features that were previously only available on the A6. For example, the allroad will benefit from the availability of an optional quattro limited slip differential on the 3.0 TDI models with 272 PS.
The suspension will also be adjustable for height, meaning you can have a sleek wagon on the highway and a tall rider when the going gets tough. The engines will adjust their settings according to the road conditions, and the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit dash is nothing to be sneezed at.
As for the luxury features, there will include a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system and twin tablets integrated into the rear seats. Of course, the good stuff will be optional, so you can expect to pay anywhere from €40,000 to €80,000 for the A4 allroad quattro.
