Just a few days before the world debut of the second-generation Volvo XC90, the Swedish car brand has announced the pricing of its 2015.5 model year lineup. The big news is that the entire range gets an extensive connected car and infotainment platform.
With drivers' lives becoming ever-more connected, Volvo decided to introduce the Sensus Connect connected car platform, the On Call telematics solution and the Volvo On Call smartphone app as standard equipment across the 2015.5 model year lineup. Now available to order at every Volvo dealer in the United States, updated models vary from the $33,750 Volvo S60 T5 Drive-E FWD to the $46,650 Volvo XC60 T6 R-Design AWD.

Offering cloud and app-based services to make drivers' commutes easier and more enjoyable, Sensus Connect with Volvo On Call enhances the in-car infotainment experience. Think about it as Volvo's alternative to General Motors' OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Sensus Connect is using 3G connectivity to bring the World Wide Web into the vehicle's cabin, but also handles a text-to-speech messaging feature.

Additionally, the On Call smartphone app available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone lets you perform remote engine start and vehicle lock and unlock, as well as emergency operations for automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle tracking and theft notification. Sensus navigation is updated with new graphics including 3D imaging, better routing options and enhanced voice recognition. For the 2015.5 model year, navigation has moved from the platinum trim level to the mid-level premier trim. Furthermore, Volvo simplified its trim level options to premier and platinum.

Sat-nav is standard on the S80, as well as the T6 versions of the S60, XC60 V60 and XC70.  Keyless drive is now available as a standalone option and is also included in the newly introduced convenience package that adds rear park assist camera, Homelink remote garage door opener, digital compass, grocery bag holder and power retractable outside mirrors. The platinum trim level has been expanded to include keyless drive, bi-xenon headlamps, and the manufacturer's technology package.

Harmon Kardon premium sound is also new to the 2015.5 model year feature list. The premium sound system is standard with the platinum trim and is available as an optional extra on premier specification models. While we wait patiently for Volvo to unveil the all-new, second-generation XC90 SUV, check the list below for the entire Volvo 2015.5 model year lineup pricing.
