Little can be said about the 2015 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide you didn’t already know from the previous year model. Harley’s recipe turns out to be a successful one and you know what they say: don’t fix a thing if it’s not broken. If you feel like rolling down the street in massive style while not riding a huge bike, then the 2015 Wide Glide may be just the right bike to fit your bill.
The 2015 Wide Glide will arrive in two new color options, the Radioactive Green, which looks fabulous if you’re not the type of hyper-conservative rider, and the two-tone Black Quartz with flame designs and obviously targeting customers who value the traditional bike looks. Custom paint jobs are also available for some extra dough, at about $1000 (€775) over the base price.

In the tech department, nothing seems to have changed from the 2014-spec Wide Glide. The bike’s pumping heart is the same good-old air-cooled Twin Cam 103 1,690cc v-twin delivering 134Nm (98.7 lb-ft) of torque at 3,500 revs. The transmission gearing is also untouched, as it looks like it provided customer with just the right ratios.

There is a certain degree of minimalism to the Wide Glide, and this is definitely surprising in a most pleasant way for a Harley. The usually beefy front end is kept clean, with supple fork clamps, a big skinny wheel, a similarly tidy rear fender and an ample drag-style handlebar, which matches the forward-mounted foot controls quite neatly.

Matte black engine accents are synced with the gloss black frame and the impeccable finish, with the right amount of chrome on the fork legs, exhaust headers and cans, breather and rocker covers adding a dash of retro hype to the build. ABS brakes are offered as standard trim. With both the “as shipped” and “in running order” figures unchanged, the 2015 Wide Glide is basically the same bike as the 2014 model. The Wide Glide tips the scales at 310 kg (684 lb) wet.

Harley-Davidson is offering the 2015 Wide Glide with the same base price as the previous year model, $15,799 (€12,265), with $16,749 (€13,000) for the custom color option and a couple of hundreds less for the factory two-tone liveries.
