On the off chance you can still stand to look at another Volkswagen, we've got a nice tuning project targeting the Passat. This all-new D-segment sedan was the fourth best selling model in Europe back in August. With tens of thousands of them hitting the road every month, a bit of individualization won't hurt anybody.
The company du jour is JMS Fahrzeugteile, a big name in the industry that's been fabricating body kits for many Audi, VW or BMW models this past decade. For now, the cosmetic goodies aren't that ample, but more will be added soon.

Suitable for both the saloon and estate models, a new front bumper lip works wonders. It integrates an air diffuser and makes the front of the Passat look sportier. It's cheap too, only €329, but the downside is that it doesn't work with the R-Line kit. Of course, these officially tuned Passats have not yet arrived at dealerships, so it's not a problem.

A closer relationship between the man and the road is possible thanks to a KW coilover suspension system. The most extreme Variant 3 setup will lower the car by 50mm at the front axle and 40mm at the rear one. If a low-riding Passat is what you want, set aside €1,750 for the entire kit and its installation.

Finally, the B8 has been gifted with new shoes. Concave Barracuda Challenge alloys sized 8.5-19-inch are installed, in this case, together with 235/35 R19 sticky tires. This new design features a silver finish and a unique cross-spoke design. What's the damage? €1,899, not including the rubber.

In 2016, JMS will make further modifications to the Passat. These will include a new exhaust system, engine remaps, side skirts and interior goodies such as carpets and an aluminum pedal set. So if you're considering going to the Worthersee GTI Meet in a new Passat, they pretty much have you covered.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
