For a good couple of months now, Volkswagen has been releasing new commercials for the 2015 Jetta. They were all funny, but we were never able to look past the fact that it was "just a Jetta with new headlights". That was until today, when they finally released something funny that made us go "yeah, the Jetta is OK."
The theme is air travel and the whole fantasy that surrounds it. But let's not kid ourselves and agree that stewardesses are very sexy, with their great (yet fake) smiles and perfectly manicured outfits.

The idea for the commercial comes from the name of the VW car itself. Jetta…. Jet [ta]. Get it? Good.

From there, finding a way to connect the features of the sedan to air travel was the easy part. "Ladies and gentlemen, the captain has turned on the turbocharger" say the stewardess in a very sexy voice. What man doesn't dream of having his own personal flight attendant calling him "captain" and talking about engine parts and bun warmers in a naughty way?

A solid return

It's no secret that VW USA's business is far from booming, but the Jetta is clearly pullings its own weight. With a refreshed model hitting showrooms in late September, the sold 8,980 units, making this car their best performer.

Besides having an updated look and interior bits borrowed from the new Golf, the 2015 Jetta adds new optional driver assistance features include Blind Spot Monitor, plus Rear Traffic Alert and Forward Collision Warning. It's also been anointed with the title of Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and comes with new engines. They include a 1.8 TSI turbo that replaces the old 2.5-liter and delivers 170 horsepower, plus lots more torque. The Jetta is also available as a TDI clean diesel or with a hybrid powertrain.
