2015 Triumph Street Triple 675RX Mixes Old and New at EICMA 2014

If Triumph Daytona 675R and Street Triple had a child, then it should look like the 2015 Street Triple RX. The bike was initially introduced at the Intermot show in Cologne, but it looks really great and is a rather unique presence in the British roster so we thought you could enjoy some live photos. We were only too glad to check out the Street Triple 675 RX at EICMA 2014. Sore, it's a bit of a mule, boasting the rear end of Daytona. But it looks just as good as any other Triumph on the market, especially in this sport combination of gloss red and matte silver.

The recipe behind the Street Triple RX is a quite simple one, yet creating the right bike by mixing elements from two rather different machines is, however, a hard nut to crack.

The Daytona rear section was transplanted

Triumph transplanted the entire tail section of the Daytona 675. This brought is a most welcome dose of aggressiveness, as the supersport machine has an angular design with an end piece which almost points rearwards into the eyes of those you’ve already passed. Its flush LED tail light and seat cowl (which by the way comes standard) are as sporty as it gets. And another cool feature is that the license plate holder and the turn signals attached to it do not reduce the visual impact of the bike as is the case with certain other machines.

The fly screen and belly pan are also following into the same aggressive trend and make the whole 2015 Street Triple RX looks coherent and well put together. The package is completed by racing wheels painted in a fiery red and matching the subframe and radiator shrouds. Some silver added to the game results in a Diablo Red and Matt Aluminium Silver color scheme which does turn more than a head or two.

Stock engine with a quickshifter

The 2015 Triumph Street Triple RX is all stock on the tech side. Its heart is a liquid-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder 675cc mill which can produce 106 hp at 11,850 rpm and a peak torque. Anyway, check out the fresh fighter in our live photo gallery below.
