Toyota wanted to reestablish Verso MPV's family car status, so for 2015 the Japanese introduced a new trim level called Trend Plus.
First of all, the 2015 Toyota Verso with Trend Plus trim level adds more focus on the idea of family car it promotes. For that to happen, the Japanese brand added a rear seat DVD entertainment system.

Besides that, buyers will benefit from integrated seatback mounts with dual monitors for independent DVD playback, or, even computer gaming, provided the right accessories are used. The system comes with two wireless headsets as standard, but clients can also choose optional powered iPad holders.

Furthermore, the Verso range will be receiving the Toyota Touch 2 infotainment system as standard on Trend, Trend Plus and Excel models. It features a touch-screen display and a sat-nav feature but also a reversing camera for extra safety.

The Verso Trend Plus will also share some features with the Verso Trend variant: new-design 17-inch alloy wheels, front parking sensors, dual-zone air conditioning, rear privacy glass, power windows, seven airbags, front fog lamps and fold-down seatback tables for second row passengers.

Regarding the engine department, Toyota specifies "all Verso’s powertrains comply with Euro 6 emissions standards". The engine line-up stays the same and offers a 1.6-litre petrol Valvematic unit with six-speed manual transmission; 1.8-litre Valvematic petrol with Multidrive S CVT; and 1.6-litre D-4D diesel with six-speed manual gearbox.

As far as the price tag is concerned, Toyota will sell the revised range priced from £17,770 ($27,452, 24,586 euro at current exchange rates) for the five-seat base-spec Active model while seven-seat models are priced from £18,300 ($28,271, 25,319 euro). The Trend Plus models start at £24,650 ($38,081, 34,103 euro).
