2015 Subaru Levorg and Outback Confirmed for Geneva Motor Show Debut

Subaru has just officially announced that the European debut of the all-new Levorg and Outback models will happen at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Both models are on sale in other markets, but we're pretty sure many families will welcome their arrival with excitement.

As we've told you already in the past, the Levorg is a wagon version of the Legacy with compact proportions and the promise of performance and handling. It's already been confirmed by UK dealerships and will make the trip from its Japanse factory to Europe later this year. No details yet, but we should expect a choice between a 170 PS 1.6-liter boxer and a 2-liter turbo based on the BRZ's engine with 300 horsepower. This is the same engine Subaru uses on the JDM-only version of the WRX STI performance sedan, so it should be good. In both cases, manual or CVT gearbox options will be available.

As of the Outback, this all-new crossover-wagon has been on sale in America since last year. We think Subaru has waited until their Japanse factories started making them before importing 2015 Outback to Europe. The Outback employs a host of enhancements including the “EyeSight” driver assist technology.

It's already been announced that British customers will be able to order the Outback with a 2-liter turbo-diesel producing 150 PS and 350 Nm torque or a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter petrol with power and torque outputs of 165 PS and 235 Nm, respectively. Prices will start at £27,995 for the diesel equipped with LED headlamps and headlamp washers, cruise control, 17-inch alloys, front heated seats, electrically-adjustable driver seat, Active Torque Vectoring, as well as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and a parking camera too.

During 2014, the Forester compact SUV was Subaru's best selling vehicle in Europe. To celebrate that, the company is also bringing a new variant to Geneva. For the first time, you will be able to order the Outback with a Lineatronic CVT gearbox and a Boxer Diesel engine.
