The Toyota GT 86 got updated for 2015, the Scion FR-S did too so the only one missing the party is the Subaru BRZ. But his latency can be fully forgiven because the automaker worked at a new limited special edition for it along with other improvements - the Series.Blue.
Starting with the basics, the 2015 Subaru BRZ gets all the new parts the other sister cars recently got, including a shark-fin antenna, upgraded suspension, larger exhaust tips, carbon fiber looking interior plastics and two new colors going by the names of Silver Metallic and Crystal White Pearl.

The standard Premium model comes at $25,695 only with a six-speed manual gearbox and it can be fit with optionals like sport-tuned suspension with front strut brace and Torsen limited-slip differential.

For more convenience, you can take the higher $27,695 Limited and you’ll benefit from foglights, Alcantara trimmed interior, keyless access, automatic climate control, navigation and Aha infotainment with multiple connectivity. Oh, you also get a body colored trunk spoiler to show people you got the more expensive version.

If you don’t like throwing gears and want to ruin the vehicle’s sportiness you can do so by getting the 6-speed automatic gearbox version at $28,795.

Luckily enough, the limited edition BRZ Series.Blue only comes with a manual gearbox bolted to the unchanged 2-liter 200 hp flat-four engine. To set it apart from the standard model, the special edition comes with STI-branded black alloy rims, red brake calipers and aerodynamic enhancements comprising front, sides and rear under spoilers for more downforce along with additional underbody panels for reduced drag.

The interior will carry everything from the Limited trim level while adding distinct elements such as blue leather seat bolsters and headrests, blue stitching, blue leather shifter and handbrake as well as several other unique trimmings and BRZ embroideries.

Subaru of America said there will be only 1,000 BRZ Series.Blue units on sale starting this July, each wearing a $29,490 MSRP tag.
